CAUTION! Halloween Treats Ahead

Halloween Treats

Don't be TRICKED into eating the forbidden TREATS

Halloween is a time for many to indulge in scrumptious treats, although with braces or an orthodontic appliance one must be cautious. Eating incorrect foods can cause breakage of your brackets or appliances and can extend your overall treatment time. Don't be TRICKED into eating the forbidden TREATS.  Here are some examples of treats that are excessively sticky or chewy and should be avoided:  Tootsie Rolls,Taffy, Starburst, Gummies, Bubble Gum,Twizzlers, Skittles, and Caramels, however Sugarless Gum is allowed.

We also encourage avoiding hard candies, such as Jolly Ranchers, Suckers, and Caramel Apples as they will stick to your brackets or appliances and can also cause breakage.

So please be safe while Trick or Treating this year and be selective when choosing  treats to eat!
